Gus's first haircut - Sept 8, 09

Look at those gorgeous curls!!Did okay at first....

But in the end...can you tell the hairdresser lady was SOOOO happy to be there?? We'd never gone to her before, she was about this happy the entire time she cut Abi and Gus's hair :o)

August 09 ~ Abi learning to ride without training wheels!!

Little update before pictures!

Okay, so I have not had my computer for almost 6 weeks, but it is back and I am a HAPPY GIRL :o) After 2 motherboards, I should only HOPE that it won't be in the shop again :o) Abi is doing great, she is reading like crazy ('learn to read books are a great gift idea for her birthday lol) and very excited about how big she is. She isn't a baby anymore :o( I go in sometimes on my days off and help her little class read. It's cute to have little 5 and 6 year olds reading to you! Abi is the tallest in her class and everyone just loves her (even some of the boys...SCARY!)

Now on to Gus...he is growing like a WEED! He loves to chatter now that Abi isn't home all day to talk for him. We have learned our body parts and he loves watching 'ooball' (football) with daddy. He is in 24 month clothing and I am afraid he is going to start outgrowing the boys who pass the clothing down to him! lol He got his first haircut in September and just had another one because it is growing so fast. I will post some pics of before and after the first one. I had them take a little more off this time, but still didn't let them take all the curls away. I just can't seem to let them go as short as John does!

As for John and I, we are doing fine. I work my 3 doubles and John is now the 'stay at home dad.' He's enjoying it for right now (although he is REALLY happy when I get home after the 3rd double). He is looking for work, but also doing ours, his mom's and his father's cabinets. He is doing ours first since that is the smallest order. We (aka HE) have all the uppers stained and ready for varnish. The stain is a little darker then the natural oak, but I'm hoping it's enough that when the oak flooring is on the floor, it won't be all the same color. I will post pictures when they are finally in! It's getting close! We won't be able to put the lowers in until we do the hardwood flooring since it will be throughout the house (excluding bedrooms)...but hopefully that won't be to far behind on the list!

Hope all is well with you..........now on to the pictures :o)

Day Beach Trip...

Growing up on the coast, you don't really think of 'going to the beach for the day' as a trip :o) Well, after 5 years and a VERY inquisitive little girl who LOVES sea shells, we planned a trip to the beach.
Gus's first time at the beach and in sand!
Could be the sweetest picture I've seen...loving the wind, water and the smell
Silly picture of Abi...I have NO idea what she was doing LOL
