Abi's ballet recital

Well, the ballet and gymnastics rectial went well. If you have a myspace account, you can view video at my website under 'video'. My addy is myspace.com/jaapeek

Anyways, she wasn't to excited about the ballet part. She's been in Seattle since Monday, so she was tired and cranky. She hasn't really been into ballet a whole lot anyways, so this just confirmed my feeling to put her in JUST gymnastics next term (starts next Saturday). Anyways, enjoy some of the pics. I got a new camcorder that can record and take pictures at the same time so these are pictures from it (since our camera was on the verge of dying the entire recital (I know, I know)...so anyways, enjoy :o)

:o)

My mom and Bob came to visit the middle of May. We had 4 awesome days with them and Abi had a blast!

She was so tired...I still don't know how the blanket ended up like this LOL

Poor Zoey ran under the swing while Abi was swinging and got kicked in the tail area. We think she actually sprained or broke her poor little tail...It took about 4 days for it to finally get to where you could touch it. This is her pouting on the deck in the sun a few hours after it happened.

My brothers son, Sebastian, came to visit for the day. They had a blast on the play structure all day. Sebastian is 9 months older then Abi.

Abi is now into posing for pictures...

Don't you wish you could sleep anywhere without feeling like you are 50 when you wake up??? :o)

Easter egg pics...better late then never :o)

Abi and Jackson ready to go!
She was such a little trooper! Wouldn't stop until all the eggs were colored!! My little artist :o)

I think I did 2 eggs, all the rest were done by abi!

Update of just...stuff :o)

My beautiful new wreath for the door! I saw this and just HAD to buy it! We have a beautiful florist at Michael's and I'm becoming a very VERY quick fan of her work :o)

Here is abi's new play structure. John is very proud of this and it's amazing how fast it actual went up. It will be moved further back in the yard once we get the new fence built. There is a slide, 2 swings, a tire swing, a rock climb mountain (the colored rocks thing) to the top tower, another mountain (a little easier to climb) on the lower tower opposite the slide and a cargo net opposite the rock mountain. We are going to till a rectangle a bit larger then the structure and put those big cedar sliverless chips so it's a bit more friendly to play in :o)
The new fence (well, atleast this section :o)) We started with the street side of the yard since that is the side I'm most worried about. Nothing like being on a corner so that EVERYONE can see what you're doing in the backyard! Anyways. This same design will wrap all the way around the entire backyard (I'm especially excited to cover up the view of our back neighbors house...see above picture of the play structure!!) You know what they say, 'good fences make good neighbors!'

Our little gymnist

So we signed Abi up at "The Little Gym"...(they are located in 16 different countries and just all over...check em out!) The programs are GREAT!!! Abi is in the Jazzy Bugz class which is an hour long class on Thursdays. She does 15 minutes of Tap, 15 minutes of ballet and then 30 minutes of gymnastics...it's the perfect class :o) She was very excited for her first day! She even kept the ponytails in her hair the for the whole ride to Lake Oswego and the whole class. The MINUTE the class was over and we were in the car, the ponytails came out! Uggg...
(there are a few pictures that are a little blurry, it was difficult taking pics through glass....darn reflection :o))

Little Gymnist, all ready to go!
sooooo excited...class is just about to start
working on tap dancing and movement
Ballet class, learning how to leap and hold our hands up in the ballet position

Is that Abi...actually LISTENING to instruction???

Gaining arm strength by standing on our arms with support from the balance beam

Mommy's so excited...it really is the PERFECT class LOL!!!!

OOPS...daddy did a boo boo

he's fine, but he slid his bike sideways while coasting on the grass next to the house. So, he's won his wish and is now going to get a custom painted bike of his very own LOL...I KNEW it was on purpose!! :o)
