Abi's new door signs!!

Abi decided that she was going to make signs for her door. If you can't tell, these are 'No Mommy or Daddy Allowed'. I can't believe that she is only almost 4 and already kicking us out of her bedroom LOL! My baby is growing up so fast :o(

Breakfast with Santa 2007

Every year McMenamins throws what's called "Breakfast with Santa." This was our first year going. Thanks to a WONDERFUL friend that I met through teaching cake class, she was able to get us into the breakfast!! We sat right next to where Santa sat in his big chair and Abi just couldn't keep her eyes off him!! They get the most famous Santa in Portland...He's just great!!
She was telling him that she wanted a 'Littlest Pet Shop' puppy.

Abi got a pair of antlers when we got there. Got her right in the holiday spirit :o)

They also had a balloon guy who went around. Abi wanted a 'magic wand' and this is what she got!!

Happy December!

The most gorgeous girl around!!

This poor dog endures everything! To explain the picture, Zoey is wrapped TIGHT in a baby blanket, then put in Abi's recliner with a pillow. She stayed this way until Abi unwrapped her LOL (I think she just loves the attention)
Abi decided that it would be FUN to jump on the couch. Needless to say, she lost her balance and slammed into her little table she uses for writing. She wanted me to take pictures to make sure to show grandma her big girl ouchy!

This was just taken a few days ago. I was at work (only a few more weeks left with the cake decorating classes!!) Anyways, she was calling John. He told her that he would be there in a second...when he came downstairs, this is how he found her. Her movie she had been watching was paused and she was OUT!

Oh the belly...

Gus-Gus and his weirdo sister!!

Abi loves her little brother (atleast for now until he is screaming all night long :o))

Happy Punkin Day from the Peek's :o)

Well, Halloween was great this year. Abi decided that she wanted to be a "Happy Face"...and OF COURSE, you can't find a happy face anywhere in Portland...so I (along with my ever wonderful husband who saved the day when it came to sewing the elastic) made her the best happy face anyone has ever seen!! LOL It was very interesting and I hope she wants to be a happy face for the next few years.

We went trick-or-treating around John's office and she scored BIG on candy! We met John-John and Josie (Rich and Elisha's kiddos) there and had to get a picture of the girls :o)

While carving pumpkins, John cut the hole and scraped the sides for her. He then told her to clean it out. She was NOT happy about having to clean it out with her hands...so she used the scoop :o) We did make her at least TRY to use her hands (we bribed her with ice cream and cake...i know, i know). She did it once and then went right back to scooping with her scoop.

And here comes the decorating...We carved the face (see last 2 photos) and then Abi decided that she wanted to draw on them and put her name on it.

GRASS GRASS GRASS!!!

Well, John's grass has finally come in and he coulnd't be any happier. It's got a few little spots that need reseeding, but any new grass is gonna need a bit of help (especially with the dogs in the back yard mucking it up!)

Update and just really cute pictures

Well, things are hectic and I'm working at Michael's 4 days a week until my new nanny job starts on November 1st. It's sooooo exciting and I really can't wait to start. The family is great and I'm watching 1 boy, so no new car for me...which is a blessing in disguise I guess :o) Anyways, Abi's getting big and learning so much in school. She still has some problems writing her name (she likes to spell is iAb or biA). She's learning her letters and numbers and is just getting way to big to be a 3 years old :o(
We have our 18wk baby-anatomy check on the 18th and so I'm hoping to get some great pictures of our little Gus-Gus. They'll be checking the heart, weight, length and other fun things that the doctor wants. John is determined to ask for another 'boy shot' just to make sure that it really is his little boy. He's already enjoying looking and picking up a few boy clothes though!! Gus is getting big, but he's so much less active then Abi EVER was at this time...Hopefully he'll stay that way and be a bit more calm then Abi was LOL...we will see :o)
Snuggle friendsSo tired...can't even lay down to relaxIt's amazing what a box can do :o)Heading to school in our school shirtLydia and Zoey's new ken

Let the boy shopping begin!!!

So here is what I'm thinking the baby's room will be like. I got some Disney Lithographs from the movie Cars, so I am thinking of having those professionally framed for his room. It's so different shopping for boy things! It's kind of surreal at this point. Anyways, I'm having a blast looking at blue stuff and buying a few little blue clothes and blankets ;-)
Abi's still mad at us...but I'm hoping she'll get over it soon LOL

Baby Peek #2

Well, we had our 2nd ultrasound to see when exactly we are due. Per how they usually figure it out, we are 2 weeks off from what the baby is measuring, so we had to come back after a month and get another measurement. Well, we are measuring still 2 weeks behind, so we are going with that date! Due March 20th, 2008. These are 12wk photos taken today, Sept 6th, 2o07. Our anatomy scan will be on October 18th. PLEASE send baby boy thoughts our way :o) So here are the wonderful pics of our cute little peanut. I'm so glad we were able to get a good profile pic. He was getting very ticked with the ultrasound tech, Donna, and moving constantly (especially when it was quiet and Abi would talk). It's very cute. Anyways, hope you enjoy!!

Our new backyard :o)

This is our new backyard! We took out a few of the bushes that were against the back fence (see previous pictures of playstructure a while back), put in the new cedar fence, leveled the yard, put big sliverless cedar chips under abi's structure and now if you look closely, you can see John's baby grass!! He's OBSESSED! :o) Anyways, I can't wait to have a wonderful backyard with soft grass! I'll keep the pictures updated as the grass gets better!

Saying goodbye to friends :o(

Our friends are moving to 'middle of no where, Idaho', so we had one last play date yesterday. Hopefully we will still keep up with them when they move :o)
